Jennifer Murphy, MPT, CPT
Jennifer Murphy, MPT, CPT graduated from Samuel Merritt College with a Masters in Physical Therapy in 2000. Under graduate work was done at Stanford University where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Human Biology. While at Stanford, Jennifer competed on the Track and Field team earning two time All American Honors, culminating in representation of the USA at the World University Games in Fukuoka, Japan. Post graduate school, Jennifer enrolled in a year long Manual Therapy course with John Sievert, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, NCPT in Grass Valley, CA where she learned advanced manual therapy techniques. Jennifer tried pilates in preparation for the birth of her daughter in 2004 and found the rehabilitative aspects complimented her physical therapy practice nicely. After completing her pilates training with Pacific Movement Center in Santa Cruz, Jennifer became certified by the Pilates Method Alliance in 2005.
Jennifer continues her weekly practice in pilates and enjoys learning and exploring new movement patterns. She has extensive experience in dealing with musculoskeletal pain; specifically lumbo pelvic dysfunctions and issues in the cervical spine and shoulders. She is well versed in pelvic floor retraining and enjoys working with those who are focusing on getting back to sport or getting back to actives they enjoy in life.
In her spare time, she can be found on the local athletic fields where she enjoys watching her children compete. Recreational hobbies run the gamut of all the area has to offer including golf, tennis, cycling and running.
NATALIE
Natalie discovered Pilates in 2006. A studio opened down the street from where she was attending college and after her first session she was hooked. After practicing Pilates for over a year she received her IM=X training in Reno and at the IM=X headquarters in NYC. She received her basic through super advanced training with IM=X and continued her Pilates education with Balanced Body Pilates and STOTT Pilates. Natalie has been teaching group and private sessions since 2008 and helped open two Pilates studios in Reno and Salt Lake City.
When she is not studying or teaching Pilates she enjoys trail running with her dog, Nyah in Nisene or spending time with her husband. Natalie loves anything fitness and nutrition related.
